Sitting in the airport. Right now, my flight is delayed an hour or so.
Good con. Much better Shadowfist turnout than last year.
Played a little Fist, all draft. Ran or part-ran several events, but had enough backup to allow me to do other stuff.
Had to play to make up the numbers in the Sunday draft, and announced I would drop if I made the finals. (Wanted to be elsewhere.)
So, of course, I drafted this hideous beatdown arc-pur deck including a Black Ops Team, Fire in the Sky, 2 discerning fire, 3 whispers in the dark, the insidious dr. Fermat and his soldiers, a bonechill, and more.
Not to play it in the finals made me weep, but I'd already announced it. Besides, I really did want to be elsewhere.
Got more RPGing in than I have in previous cons. Not all great, but nothing awful, either.
Discovered that the classic Sid Sackson game Can't Stop is back in print. Bought a copy.
Bought other stuff.
Discovered that if you move two hefty RPG books and two boxes of boosters from your suitcase to your backpack in order to get under the 50 lb limit, your backpack gets heavy. Who knew?
Discovered how good a job we did designing SSG with draft play in mind. Four packs of SSG is an entirely playable draft. More draft is a good thing. I think we did at least as well with CS.
Failed to get close to defending the Icehouse world championship finals, wining not a single game in the qualifying rounds. Congratulations to the finalists and the champion. Get you next year.
Congratulations to the winners of the various Fist tournaments.
Dexcon in two weeks. Gencon in six.
